How does it work?
Based on gentle movements combined with controlled breathing and techniques for visualising positive images, sophrology is a non-tactile method that enables you to mobilise your own capacities: serenity, well-being, relieving tension, self-confidence, self-esteem, concentration, managing emotions, phobias, addictive behaviour, etc.
The aim of this natural method is to restore harmony between the mind and body. It gives a positive boost to the qualities, thoughts and resources of each individual, enabling them to make better use of their potential. You are at the heart of your own change. The tools and exercises transmitted during the sessions can be reused throughout your life and are accessible to as many people as possible.
How does a sophrology session work?
A sophrology session is always made up of a time for sharing, a time for practising and a closing time.
During the discussion time, I'll take stock of what's happened since the last appointment and explain how I can help you achieve your goal.
I then invite you to do an average of 3 to 4 dynamic relaxation exercises (gentle movements linked to controlled breathing), followed by a period of visualisation, guided by my voice.
Finally, there's time for a chat so that you can tell me how you felt physically and mentally at the end of the session, and which exercises you enjoyed the most.
We'll then take stock of the training you'll need between now and the next session, and I'll give you a few tools so that you can practise certain exercises on your own at home.
At what age can you start practising sophrology?
Sophrology is for everyone: adults, children and teenagers.
Children from the age of 6 are welcome. The length of the sessions and the exercises are adapted according to the age of the children and their ability to concentrate.
All the exercises can be adapted in a fun way to their references (heroes, hobbies, etc.) to make them as effective as possible.
Are there any contraindications?
Each sophrology exercise is adapted to your age and physical condition. There are therefore no physical contraindications to practising sophrology.
However, this method is not recommended in the case of severe psychiatric disorders.
